About Us
- Is a public health and harm reduction strategy that utilize syringe vending machines to increase access to sterile syringes and disinfection kits for individuals who inject drugs. Is a community-based program that provide a way for IDU who inject drugs who cannot or will not stop injecting drugs obtain sterile syringes and disinfection kits at low cost during our off-business hours. These services are provided through four vending machines located in the Municipalities of Aguadilla, Mayaguez and Yauco through a network of collaborators. These strategies allow MHC to provide HIV prevention services 24 hours, 7 days a week, promoting the anonymity of those individuals who access the program.
