MAT PROJECT
Medication Assisted Treatment Project
About Us
- MAT Project began offering treatment with Suboxone medication in 2004 on a part-time basis, on Tuesdays and Thursdays. As of March 2016, the MAT Project expanded services to full time, five days a week.
- The MAT Project is focused on offering high quality assisted medication services, in an interdisciplinary clinical environment. The “Medication Assisted Treatment” (MAT) Project is a program that provides help to people over the age of 18 who are addicted to heroin and/or methadone that are in a low dose of 40mg. The main purpose of the project is offering to the patient the opportunity to adopt changes or behavior modifications that reduce their risk of acquiring and/or transmitting HIV, while minimizing or eliminating drug use through medication, support with counseling, family members, and/or friendships.
