MIGRANT provides high quality health services in an integrated manner at its clinics in Mayagüez, Guánica, Yauco, Isabela, Lajas, San Sebastián, Maricao, Las Marías, Cabo Rojo, Sabana Grande and a Special Projects division. We have a family physician, general practitioner, pediatrician, internist, OB/Gyn, dentist, optometrist, mental health, pharmacy, vaccination and laboratory. In addition, we provide HIV treatment and prevention services and we are the pioneers in providing Buprenorphine treatment services in Puerto Rico. MIGRANT is recognized by the NCQA (National Committee of Quality Assurance) as a PCMH (Patient Centered Medical Home) in 12 facilities and holds a PCMH Distinction in Behavioral Health Integration with primary health care.
The Corporation is governed by a Board of Directors, of which over 51% are service users. These members represent the populations we serve and are volunteer citizens with experience in the health care, commerce, agricultural, fiscal, educational, and legal industry, among others. Services are provided through the Puerto Rico Department Health Insurance Plan for GMP 215 (Mayagüez, Lajas, Yauco, Cabo Rojo, and Guánica), GMP 112 (San Sebastián and Isabela), GMP 240 (Maricao and Las Marias), and GMP 410 (Guánica and Yauco). In all clinics we accept GMP 0215 and GMP M62. We provide services to the Medicare population, Medicare Advantage, and most private medical plans as well.

Our main objective is for each person we serve to achieve their greatest possible individual well-being. MIGRANT is knowledgeable of the differences and diversity of its population, in response, we provide cost-effective, equitable medical care, surpassing the social determinants that obstruct access to care. We are also proud to highlight that MIGRANT has been recognized as a center of excellence and quality in the provision of health services throughout multiple forums within the healthcare industry, at local, state, federal, and national levels. In particular, we are a first-class community health system, with 14 clinics through which we offer services for populations across the southwest, west, and northwest regions of Puerto Rico. We also have a division of 12 special projects, dedicated to providing services to the most vulnerable populations of our region. CLINICAL SERVICES
GENERAL MEDICINE
MIGRANT has a team of high-capacity general physicians who provide personal continuous primary healthcare. These professionals are your fist choice of care and will assist you in coordinating the care you receive from other healthcare professionals, if necessary.
PEDIATRICS
In MIGRANT’S facilities you can receive the care your children require from pediatricians and sub-specialists. Pediatrics is the medical discipline that deals with a child’s development and childhood disease. We provide integrated services, incorporating vaccination, nutrition, oral health, visual and mental health, among others.
LABORATORY
Our clinics offer lab services in Isabela, Maricao, Mayaguez, Lajas, Guanica, San Sebastian, Las Marias, Yauco and Sabana Grande. CHECK HOURS BY CLINIC. Our labs operate from 7:00 am to 4:00 pm.
PHARMACY
Pharmacies work under the 340B PROGRAM. This program makes it possible to provide medicines at a lower cost to low-income people with or without medical coverage (participants without medical coverage must be evaluated under our "Sliding fee"). The pharmacies are located in San Sebastián, Maricao, Mayagüez, Lajas, Guánica and Yauco.
DENTAL
VACCINATION
We have vaccination services for the health center’s participants, who have the PR government health insurance plan, at the Isabela, San Sebastian, Mayaguez, Lajas, Guanica, Las Marias, Yauco and the Litoral Proyecto AMA clinic sites. Contact your nearest clinic site for a schedule detail and available vaccines.
OB/GYN
MIGRANT has a team of physicians specialized in gynecology and obstetrics, who are focused on the health and disease of the female’s reproductive system. Obstetricians work with family planning, the pre-, peri- and post-natal care. To promote good health, women should consult a gynecologist beginning their puberty stage.
PSYCHIATRY
In its quest to obtain the highest status of wellbeing for its participants, MIGRANT includes among its medical professionals, specialists in the field of psychiatry. These professionals are highly trained in the diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation of people who suffer from some imbalance of thought, cognitive or behavioral function. By this means, created a balance between your physical, mental, emotional, and social state.
PSYCHOLOGY
Each MIGRANT facility has at its disposal professionals trained in the area of psychology. These professionals evaluate cognitive, affective and behavioral processes, providing therapeutic services focused on the holistic well-being of the individual.
FAMILY MEDICINE
In each of the MIGRANT facilities you can receive the care of health professionals with a specialty in Family Medicine. These specialists are trained to provide services to men, women and children of all ages. Family Medicine is based on the continuous and personal relationship between the patient and the doctor, whose focus is integrated care.
OPTOMETRY
At MIGRANT we offer optometry services providing primary visual health care. The optometry specialist examines, diagnoses, treats, and manages visual changes. MIGRANTS optic center offers a vast variety of high-quality eyeglasses.
INTERNIST
Internal Medicine Providers are dedicated to the integral care and treatment of adults, with a focus on prevention, diagnosis and treatment of diseases that affect internal organs and tissues, while at the same time, collaborating with the multidisciplinary team in managing chronic conditions.
